We actively participated in the start of activities of the Trinational Raíces Project – Participatory Improvement of Genetic Resources and Seed Systems for Regenerative Agriculture (GP-SAEP), an international initiative aimed at strengthening productive resilience and promoting sustainable agricultural practices in rural territories of Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil.
The project is made possible by funding from the European Union, channeled through the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and is coordinated by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), with Embrapa serving as the regional technical partner. In Argentina, its implementation is being carried out in conjunction with various INTA units—including the Cerro Azul, Montecarlo, and Abra Pampa Experimental Stations, along with IPAF-NOA and the Perico Extension Agency—within the framework of the agreement established with the ArgenINTA Foundation.
The central pillars of the initiative include participatory crop improvement, revitalization of local seed systems, and the integration of science and ancestral knowledge to strengthen productive responses to climate change.
At ArgenINTA Foundation, we reaffirm our commitment to projects that promote territorial development, innovation, and the collaborative construction of solutions for a more resilient and sustainable agriculture.
