RECSO-Americas: a regional network to improve sustainable soybean productivity

At the ArgenINTA Foundation, we had the pleasure of welcoming Eugenia Saini, Executive Secretary of FONTAGRO, and her team, along with INTA’s technical project leaders—Cristian Vissani and Marcos Murgio—as well as representatives from participating organizations and key figures from the private sector.

Daniel Matayoshi, a member of the Projects and International Cooperation Area and the project's technical lead, also participated on behalf of the ArgenINTA Foundation, supporting the coordination and monitoring of this regional initiative.

The meeting took place within the framework of RECSO-Américas, an initiative seeking to scale up the Argentine experience in soybean cultivar evaluation to the regional level, generating information and tools that contribute to better cultivar selection, the reduction of yield gaps, and the strengthening of more sustainable production.

The project, funded by FONTAGRO and implemented by the ArgenINTA Foundation, connects capabilities from Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, and Peru to strengthen knowledge generation and its transfer to the productive sector.

For the ArgenINTA Foundation, being part of these initiatives means helping to ensure that regional cooperation, scientific knowledge, and public-private collaboration translate into concrete tools for the productive sector.
